אוֹדֶה יְהוָה, בְּכָל-לֵבָב; בְּסוֹד יְשָׁרִים וְעֵדָה
גְּדֹלִים, מַעֲשֵׂי יְהוָה; דְּרוּשִׁים, לְכָל-חֶפְצֵיהֶם
הוֹד-וְהָדָר פָּעֳלוֹ; וְצִדְקָתוֹ, עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד
זֵכֶר עָשָׂה, לְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו; חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם ה׳

אַשְׁרֵי-אִישׁ, יָרֵא אֶת ה׳; בְּמִצְוֺתָיו, חָפֵץ מְאֹד.
גִּבּוֹר בָּאָרֶץ, יִהְיֶה זַרְעוֹ; דּוֹר יְשָׁרִים יְבֹרָךְ

Ode Adonai bechol levav, besod yesharim ve’eda
(I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation)
Gdolim ma’asei Adonai drushim lechol chaftzeihem
(The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein)
Hod vehadar po’alo vetzidkato omedet la’ad
(His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever)
Zecher asa lenifle’otav, chanun verachum Adonai
(He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion)

Ashrei ish yare et Adonai, bemitzvotav chafetz me’od
(Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments)
Gibor ba’aretz yihiye zar’o, dor yesharim yevorach
(His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed)
Hon va’osher beveito vetzidkato omedet la’ad
(Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever)
Zarach bachoshech or laysharim, chanun verachum vetzadik
(Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous)

בְּצֵאת יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמִּצְרָיִם; בֵּית יַעֲקֹב, מֵעַם לֹעֵז
הָיְתָה יְהוּדָה לְקָדְשׁוֹ; יִשְׂרָאֵל, מַמְשְׁלוֹתָיו
הַיָּם רָאָה, וַיָּנֹס; הַיַּרְדֵּן, יִסֹּב לְאָחוֹר
הֶהָרִים, רָקְדוּ כְאֵילִים; גְּבָעוֹת, כִּבְנֵי-צֹאן
מַה-לְּךָ הַיָּם, כִּי תָנוּס; הַיַּרְדֵּן, תִּסֹּב לְאָחו
הֶהָרִים, תִּרְקְדוּ כְאֵילִים; גְּבָעוֹת, כִּבְנֵי-צֹאן
מִלִּפְנֵי אָדוֹן, חוּלִי אָרֶץ; מִלִּפְנֵי, אֱלוֹהַּ יַעֲקֹב

Betzet Yisrael mimitzraim beit Ya'akov me'am loez
(When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language)
Hayta Yehuda lekodsho, Yisrael Mamshelotav
(Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion)
Hayam ra'a vayanos, hayarden yisov le'achor
(The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back)
He'harim rakdu cheilim, geva'ot kivnei tzon
(The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs)

Ma lecha hayam ki tanos, hayarden yisov le'achor
(What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back)
He'harim tirkedu cheilim, geva'ot kivnei tzon
(Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs)
Milifnei adon chuli aretz, milifnei Eloha Ya'akov
(Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob)
Hahofchi hatzur agam mayim, chalamish lema'ayano mayim
( Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters)

ה׳ הֶעֱלִיתָ מִן-שְׁאוֹל נַפְשִׁי
חִיִּיתַנִי מִיָּרְדִי בוֹר
זַמְּרוּ לַה׳ חֲסִידָיו וְהוֹדוּ לְזֵכֶר קָדְשׁוֹ
כִּי רֶגַע בְּאַפּוֹ, חַיִּים בִּרְצוֹנוֹ
בָּעֶרֶב, יָלִין בֶּכִי וְלַבֹּקֶר רִנָּה
וַאֲנִי אָמַרְתִּי בְשַׁלְוִי בַּל-אֶמּוֹט לְעוֹלָם
הָפַכְתָּ מִסְפְּדִי לְמָחוֹל לִי
פִּתַּחְתָּ שַׂקִּי וַתְּאַזְּרֵנִי שִׂמְחָה
לְמַעַן, יְזַמֶּרְךָ כָבוֹד וְלֹא יִדֹּם
ה׳ אֱלֹהַי לְעוֹלָם אוֹדֶךָּ

Adonai he’elita min she’ol nafshi
Chiyitani miyordi vor
(O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit)

Zamru la’Adonai chasidav, zamru
Vehodu lezecher kodsho
(Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.)

Ki rega be’apo, chayim birtzono
(For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life [or, his favour lasts a lifetime])

Ba’erev yalin bechi velaboker rina
(weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning)

Va’ani amarti beshalvi
Bal emot, bal emot le’olam
(And in my prosperity [or, ease/tranquility] I said, I shall never be moved)

Hafachta mispedi lemachol li
Pitachta saki vate’azreni simcha
(Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness)

Lema’an yezamercha chavod velo yidom
Adonai Elohai, le’olam odeka
(To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever)

4. Chasdei Adonai חסדי ה׳ 04:22

Chasdei Adonai olam ashira. Ledor vador odi'a emunatcha befi
(I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.)

Ki amarti olam chesed yibane. Shamayim tachin emunatcha bahem.
(For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens)

Lecha shamayim af lecha aretz, tevel um'lo'a, ata yesadetam.
(The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them)

Tzafon veyamin ata veratam, tavor vechermon beshimcha yeranenu
(The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name)

אָהַבְתִּי, כִּי-יִשְׁמַע ה׳ אֶת-קוֹלִי, תַּחֲנוּנָי
כִּי-הִטָּה אָזְנוֹ לִי; וּבְיָמַי אֶקְרָא
בְּחַצְרוֹת, בֵּית יְהוָה בְּתוֹכֵכִי יְרוּשָׁלִָם

Ahavti ki yishma Adonai et koli, tachanunai
(I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications)

(Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live)

Betochechi Yerusalayim, haleluya
(In the courts of the Lord's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord)

6. Shabechuhu שבחוהו 04:30

הַלְלוּ אֶת-יְהוָה, כָּל-גּוֹיִם
שַׁבְּחוּהוּ, כָּל-הָאֻמִּים
כִּי גָבַר עָלֵינוּ, חַסְדּוֹ
וֶאֱמֶת-יְהוָה לְעוֹלָם
הַלְלוּ-יָהּ

Hallelu et Adonai kol goyim
(O praise the Lord, all ye nations)
Shabechuhu, shabechuhu kol ha’umim
(O praise [or, extol] the Lord, all ye nations)

Ki gaver aleinu chasdo
(For his merciful kindness is great toward us [or, his grace has triumphed over us])

Ve’emet Adonai le’olam, haleluya
(and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord)

קוּמִי רֹנִּי בַלַּיְלָה, לְרֹאשׁ אַשְׁמֻרוֹת

(How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?)

Adonai Elohai ha'ira einai pen ishan hamavet
(Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death)

Pen yomar oyvi yacholtiv tzarai yagilu
Pen yomar oyvi yacholtiv tzarai yagilu ki emot
( Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved)

Va'ani bechasdecha, bachasdecha batachti
Yagel libi, yagel libi biyshuatecha
(But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation)

(I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me)

מֵאַיִן, יָבֹא עֶזְרִי
עֶזְרִי, מֵעִם ה׳ עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ
אַל-יִתֵּן לַמּוֹט רַגְלֶךָ; אַל-יָנוּם, שֹׁמְרֶךָ

(The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade)

(the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand)

קוֹיֵ ה׳ יַחֲלִיפוּ כֹחַ, יַעֲלוּ אֵבֶר כַּנְּשָׁרִים; יָרוּצוּ וְלֹא יִיגָעוּ, יֵלְכוּ וְלֹא יִיעָפוּ

Kovei Adonai yachlifu cho’ach
(They that wait upon [or, hope in} the Lord shall renew their strength
Ya’alu ever kanesharim
(they shall mount up with wings as eagles)
Yarutzu velo yiga’u
(They shall run, and not be weary)
Yelchu velo yi’afu
(They shall walk, and not faint)

אַשְׁרֵי הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר לֹא הָלַךְ בַּעֲצַת רְשָׁעִים
וּבְדֶרֶךְ חַטָּאִים לֹא עָמָד
וּבְמוֹשַׁב לֵצִים לֹא יָשָׁב
כִּי אִם בְּתוֹרַת ה׳, חֶפְצוֹ

(nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful)

(But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night)

(And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water)

(That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither)

(And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper)
